The Chef

Chef Reams is a former semi-finalist on the FOX hit show, Masterchef, as well as a featured chef on Chef'd, Appetites, and frequent contributor to online media channels.  Food is everywhere and everything to her.

Becky's greatest joy is creating Bang Bang, and the hopes of using it to bring people together, through unique dining experiences.

The Long Story

In 2012 I was in transition, I was victim to what so many fall victim to, and that was doubt. Doubting my instincts as a cook and as a strong woman questioning an unpredictable career in food. I was a photographer working for a major fashion label, and I wasn't passionate about it.
But I was hungry, pun most certainly intended, hungry for something I didn’t know I craved, and that was a life in the kitchen.
At the time I wasn’t quite sure why, or how, but cooking was life for me.
It’s that thing everyone hopes to find in their lifetime. That thing that makes us tick--It’s where I find my zone, my niche, my zen. And most of all, I wanted to explore it and to share it with others. That’s not me being coy, or sweet-hearted, but its a fact. Cooks are nothing without their diners. That's where the love, the care, the obsession comes from-- the knowledge that you are preparing this food for someone else. For someone else to judge, taste, scrutinize, enjoy, love...
I love food, truly love it. Day in, day out, I respect the process of cooking, the quality of each individual vegetable, the time it takes to raise and butcher an animal, the nuances of flavor amongst different vinegars and oils. These qualities of the culinary world are what sparked my initial interest, and what continues to fuel my passion each day. I continue to learn, to be surprised and most of all, I still get excited.

This is why I cook. I can't imagine a life without it.
